Carmel Small Business Network

NEWS RELEASE: Carmel, Indiana – In 2002, Mayor Jim Brainard launched the Carmel Small Business Network (CSBN) as part of the City’s economic development initiative. CSBN offers direct quarterly communication between City officials and small business owners for the purpose of supporting and strengthening business in Carmel.

Through participation in CSBN, small business owners are able to keep informed of City activities and development plans. It offers an opportunity for owners to become acquainted with each other and with City officials.

“CSBN enables the business community and local government to work together for the benefit of all,” said Mayor Brainard.

CSBN works closely with the Carmel Chamber of Commerce to avoid duplication of efforts and to complement their initiatives. There is no cost to participate in CSBN.

The next Carmel Small Business Network meeting is Thursday August 25, 2011. For additional information or to become involved in the Carmel Small Business Network, please call 571-2673 or email smaki@carmel.in.gov.

Carmel, Indiana is a suburb of North Indianapolis in Central Indiana.
