Arts and Culture in Carmel, Indiana
Carmel, Indiana is home to the Carmel Arts & Design District, a well-known setting for the art and design industry where residents and visitors alike enjoy Carmel shopping, dining, and public Carmel events in one of the most architecturally interesting and posh environments of all the cities in Indiana. Numerous and varied Carmel arts events and festivals are held in the district each year, including the popular CarmelFest annually, and the Carmel International Arts Festival each September.

Carmel also provides several opportunities in the performing arts, including the Carmel Summer Concert Series at the Carmel City Gazebo hosted by The Carmel Fountain Square Committee, the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, which performs each year at CarmelFest, The Actors Theatre of Indiana and the Carmel Community Players. Indianapolis is so close at hand that arts and culture in Carmel are practically part and parcel of the Indianapolis arts, and the two communities often come together to work and play in the Indianapolis performing arts as well.
