A list of things to do in Carmel would have to be heavy on the arts since, like its counterpart on the West Coast, the arts are heavily featured there. Art in Carmel is well represented by the many fine Carmel art galleries like Art & Soul, Magdalena Gallery, and the Evan Lurie Fine Art Gallery, which are also attractions for the Indianapolis art community. Carmel is also home to some of the finest performing arts groups in Indianapolis, such as the Carmel Symphony Orchestra and the Carmel Community Players theatrical group.
