Carmel International Arts Festival: Celebrating Local Art

Carmel International Arts Festival takes place in Carmel, IndianaThe Carmel International Arts Festival is an annual Carmel event that takes place in the Arts & Design District in Carmel, Indiana each year. 2008 marked the festival’s 11th year; the first festival was a small celebration of art around the Carmel City Square. Growing into a full-fledged Indianapolis festival with over 30,000 artists and patrons in attendance, the Carmel International Arts Festival moved its location to the Arts & Design District in 2005.

Carmel International Arts Festival takes place in downtown Carmel, Indiana

The two-day celebration of Carmel arts takes place in September and features artists exhibiting watercolor and oil, jewelry, photography, sculpture, wood, pottery, and more. Food vendors from Indianapolis and Carmel, art activities, face painting for Carmel children, and live Indianapolis music enhance the festival, making it a truly family-friendly event.
