Evan Lurie Fine Art Gallery: Modern Art in Carmel, Indiana

The Evan Lurie Fine Art Gallery in Carmel, Indiana is one of three upscale fine art galleries in the United States owned by Evan Lurie. The other two are in Miami and Beverly Hills. The new Arts and Design District in downtown Carmel is attracting so many high powered artists these days, it’s no surprise that Evan Lurie chose to place his third gallery in this Indianapolis suburb.

The Evan Lurie Fine Art Gallery contains 5200 square feet of space dedicated solely for exhibitions by Indianapolis artists and others from around the nation. Spacious and pleasing, its numerous display areas offer dark, polished floors, white walls, white block, white columns, moveable walls and tons of track lighting.

There are also many sitting areas with beautiful overstuffed furniture, and the occasional fireplace and bench. Strolling through this large and glorious space, one sometimes feels they are in a fine art museum, and sometimes in a private mansion.

One of the primary goals of the Evan Lurie Fine Art Gallery, other than to show rotating exhibits of some of the finest art in the country, is to provide professional networking for the talented artists whose work they exhibit. Owner Evan Lurie represents more than 40 fine artists in corporate and private venues in Carmel arts scene, the Indianapolis arts scene, and far beyond.

Lurie specializes in finding new and bold artists who demonstrate excellence in skill and artistic sense. All mediums are represented at the Gallery, but neo-realism and contemporary abstract are emphasized.

The Lurie Building, which houses the Gallery, is one of the new and sparkling stars of Carmel’s Arts and Design District, a district that also includes the Magdalena Gallery and Art and Soul. The Evan Lurie Fine Art Gallery can be rented for special Carmel events, parties, and Indianapolis business functions.
