The medium-sized Indianapolis suburb of Carmel, Indiana is home to a pretty comprehensive parks and recreation system. Carmel parks include everything from the picturesque sculpture gardens at Coxhall Gardens to the massive Carmel attraction that is Central Park.
Meadowlark Park is another facility owned and operated by the Carmel Parks and Recreation Department that can provide a fun afternoon in the Indiana sunshine for you and your family.
Meadowlark Park is a small, seventeen acre park located at 450 Meadow Lane, northwest of downtown Carmel. It’s close enough for residents to walk to, and it’s no more than a bike ride away from Carmel High School, so it’s a good place to hang out for students. For its size, Meadowlark Park has a lot of fun Carmel things to do. There’s a fishing pond, complete with a dock, a short walking trail among the trees and fields of the park, and free parking for visitors who come from a bit farther away. Meadowlark Park is also home to open fields for football and soccer, picnic areas, and baseball and softball fields. A shelter house is also on the property in case it rains.
