The Palladium in Carmel, Indiana

The Palladium in CarmelCarmel, Indiana is famous for its growth and construction efforts. Carmel people are often hassled by these efforts due to various road closings and detours, but the result of constant growth is a definite perk of living in this mighty Indiana suburb that is jam packed with popular Carmel attractions. One of the newest and most prominent construction projects to date is the Carmel City Center and The Center for Performing Arts near the Carmel Arts & Design District in downtown Carmel. Within this important greater Indianapolis theatre will be the Carmel Regional Concert Hall, or the recently named The Palladium.

The Palladium in Carmel

The Palladium was named based on research and focus groups held by the Regional Performing Arts Center Foundation in Carmel, Indiana. Many names were in the running for the Carmel Regional Concert Hall, but The Palladium was picked due to its musical ties and connection to the buildings impressive architecture. The aptly named concert hall will contain 1,600 seats and is set to be completed in January of 2011. The opening of The Palladium and Center for the Performing Arts will be worth the wait. When The Palladium is finally completed it will be a beautiful Carmel music venue that people from all over the state will flock to. Just minutes from downtown Indianapolis, this new music venue will surely become very popular very fast.

In addition to musical events, The Palladium will be home to an education center and museum for the Michael Feinstein Foundation. This museum will contain memorabilia and manuscripts of The Great American Songbook Collection. The Palladium will also play host to the annual international Great American Songbook Festival.
